Project Summary
Envirecycle is a small, limited company that provides a simple, cost effective recycling solution to businesses. We specialise in operating a collection and recycling service for businesses with 100 staff members and under per building.
Our standard service includes a free, modern, paper-recycling capsule. Mixed paper is stored in the container and is collected on a fortnightly basis from the business from our collector. The service is priced at 2542436.75 per collection.
Envirecycle provides a collection and recycling service for many materials including:
Glass, Plastic, Toner cartridges, Office furniture, CDs, and Fluorescent strip lighting.
Envirecycle also provides confidential destruction services.
We aim to provide a recycling service to every small to medium sized company in London, offering them a more cost effective and environmentally preferable waste management option.
Initiation and Funding
The idea for Envirecycle came to Directors Toby and Kristian Keates from first hand experience of working in small offices that were unable to find a company to provide recycling.
A loan was acquired from Prices Trust organisation, and Envirecycle has partnerships with recycling depots, and a small fleet of vehicles.
Partnerships
Working partnerships have been established through old contacts within the recycling industry. Much information sharing also occurs between environmental groups in Greater London.
Our strengths are providing a service for smaller companies.
Sustainability in Practice
Our company diverts hundreds of tons of waste from landfill, and hopes to create job opportunities, and help with doing the right things for our environment.
Future Plans
Kristian Keates, co-Director of Envirecycle would ultimately like to provide packaging solutions to manufacturing businesses.
